About the
Dentist
Thafur Shemmeri, DMD, MScD,
DScD, P.C.
 Dr. Thafur Shemmeri is a specialist in Pediatric Dentistry who is
dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the
teen-age years. He is trained and qualified to treat special
patients who may have emotional, physical, or mental handicaps.
He has been practicing dentistry since 1977. Dr. Shemmeri obtained
his Pediatric Dentistry specialty training from Boston University in
1988. This program provided him with a solid base of education and
training in all aspects of Pediatric Dentistry including
Orthodontics.
Dr. Shemmeri obtained from Boston University a Master of Science
degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 1990 and a Doctor of Science degree
in Pediatric Dentistry in 1991. He keeps himself abreast with the
advancements in the field of Pediatric Dentistry including
Orthodontics via various continuing education courses.
Dr. Shemmeri is currently a member of: the American Dental
Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and The American Academy
of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, and an
associate member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
